Soulseek is a peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing network and application. It is used mostly to exchange music, although users are able to share a variety of files. It was created by Nir Arbel, a former Napster programmer. The server used is composed of two networks since 2006. Since 6 July 2008, there has been an attempt to merge them with the arrival of a new stable release.

Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) (previously codenamed Morro) is a free antivirus software created by Microsoft that provides protection against viruses, spyware, adware, rootkits, worms and trojans for Windows XP (x86), Windows Vista, and Windows 7 (both x86 and x64). MSE replaces Windows Live OneCare, a commercial subscription-based antivirus service and the free Windows Defender, which only protected users from adware and spyware.It is geared for consumer use, unlike Microsoft's upcoming enterprise-oriented product Microsoft Forefront.

7-Zip is an open source file archiver designed originally for Microsoft Windows. 7-Zip operates with the 7z archive format, and can read and write to several other archive formats. The program can be used from a command line interface, graphical user interface, or Windows shell integration. 7-Zip began in 1999[1] and is actively developed by Igor Pavlov. It is related to a cross-platform port, p7zip.

K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codecs are required to encode and/or decode (play) audio and video. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play 99% of all the movies that you download from the internet.
The K-Lite Codec Pack has a couple of major advantages compared to other codec packs:
